Emre Özkan, the founder of Özkan & Partners, is a corporate and M&A lawyer with a 10+ years' long track record of working for oil & gas, energy, automotive, insurance, media, industrial manufacture, retail, pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, e-commerce, technology sectors. He has extensive experience in corporate governance and M&A, in particular mergers and spin-offs, sale and purchase of public and private companies, joint ventures, asset deals and private equity deals. In addition to commercial law, he advises on real estate, data protection, intellectual property and labour law.

After graduating from Koç University Law School and before founding Özkan & Partners, he worked in Corporate and M&A Departments of two leading international law firms in Istanbul dealing with cross-border transactions.

Selin Özdamar is a corporate and M&A lawyer with more than 15+ years' long track record of working for a variety of clients in energy, e-commerce, manufacture & retail, entertainment, transport, fashion, real estate and banking sectors. She has extensive experience in capital markets law and other regulated markets such as oil & gas. In addition to commercial law, she is a compliance manager advising on investigation structures, employment, intellectual property, data protection and reorganization/bankruptcy laws.

 

While studying law in Istanbul University, she started working full-time in a leading international law firm where she spent more than 10 years in Istanbul and Berlin offices in Corporate and M&A as well as Insolvency and Restructuring Departments, and meanwhile completed her LL.M in Humboldt University Berlin. Subsequently she joined an independent boutique law firm as the Corporate and M&A Partner in Istanbul.

Selin Özdamar is admitted to the Istanbul Bar Association and qualified as a certified Compliance Manager in Germany. She is fluent in English and German, and also speaks Dutch.
